Unlocking account

Each user has a username within the application andpassword to log in. When the user logs in incorrectly several timesWithin a certain period of time, the account will be temporarily closed. Thisparameters are set behind in the system settings and areDiscussible with your consultant.

System settings

The settings to indicate when the account is being lured are into be specified in the system settings ("System Administration / Settings /Settings / System / Logon")


  1. Number ofTimes that can be logged in incorrectlyàValue from 1 to 999. This figure shows howYou can often log in incorrectly before the account is temporarily closed
  1. Time interval(in min) for counting the number of incorrect loginsàValue from 1 to 99.999. This figure shows howlong it takes to reset the number of incorrect logins to 0.

As this timehas expired, the account is released and the counter of incorrectlogins set back to 0, and so a new login attempt can be made.


How does the employee see when theThe account is blocked?

When the user by frequently entering an incorrect passwordis blocked, the error message "Account closed (temporarily)"appear.



How does HR see when the account isBlocked?

At the same time as the above report, this employee will appearin the list of blocked accounts.This list can be found in menu "Employees/ Unlocking account."

When youSelecting a name from the list, you can find further information under "Details".find. In this screen I also have the action button "Unlock account". Through thisClicking, the account of the selected employee will be returnedreleased and he/she can log back in. At the same time, the employee willThis list is disappearing.

PasswordChanged

If the employee has forgotten his/her password, you can get a new one.Assign password for this employee.

You go to "User" tab in the employee record of the person concernedemployee. Via the "Change" button at Password, you can find a new one thereCreate password.

Important here: if the employee after changing thepassword logs in for the first time, he/she will have this new assigned passwordYou need to change directly to another password. (Unless it's differentestablished).


LogonBlocking

When an employee who is no longer allowed to log in still tries toTo log in, this employee will always appear in the list "Unlocking account"Rightly so. If you want to avoid that, you can use the employee record "LogonBlocked" activate.



The employee can then no longer log in and will have a possibleLogin attempt to get the error message "Account closed".
